A comprehensive course presenting the challenges of measuring and light and colour. For those designing LED luminaires and other light sources. This course covers concepts such as measurement of total light output, examines accuracy, total light output as a function of angle, measurement of LED colour and colour rendering. The course also deals with goniophotometry, spectroradiometer and compilation of LDT and IES files.

Dr Gareth John shows the delegates how to carry out photometric, goniophotometric, spectroradiometric, colorimetric and thermographic measurements on an LED luminaire. This session will cover measurements of total luminous flux, luminous intensity, illuminance, correlated colour temperature, colour rendering index, temperature and the importance of the colour correction factor.
